Our Family

Short and sweet version of who we are and how we got here.

Haley was born and raised on the coast of South Carolina.
She became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ when she was 17 years old.

Willie is a cheese head born and raised in Wisconsin.
He became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ when he was just a little boy.

In 2007 Willie moved to Spokane, Washington to study aviation at Moody Bible Institute.

In 2008 Haley moved to Spokane, Washington to study the Bible at the same school.

They first met when a large group of students went cliff jumping into Long Lake.

They ended up going to the same church, and serving as youth leaders together.

Haley didn't have a car. Willie did.

Willie would pick Haley up from her house on youth group nights, and sunday mornings for church.

They usually hung out with a group of mutual friends after church each Sunday.

Then they went to the movies ... alone
(but Haley was unclear if it was a date! and was pretty frantic)

Willie eventually asked Haley to be his "girlfriend" and she said "OK!"

They dated for a year together in Spokane.

Then Haley moved to Wisconsin and Willie stayed in Washington.

After one year of a long distance relationship, Willie bought Haley a plane ticket to Washington for a visit.

While she was there he took her to the spot where they met, had her standing on the edge of a cliff, and asked her to marry him.

She said "are you crazy"... and then "YES!"

They were married almost 6 months later in South Carolina on November 13, 2010.

And found out they were pregnant with their first Child in December 2010.

After the wedding they moved in to a cute apartment in Wisconsin

Owen arrived September 14, 2011.

After 2 years they felt that God wanted them to return to Washington for Willie to continue flight training.

They packed up their family into a minivan and left WI in June 2012.

Emma arrived October 20th 2013

After 2 years back in Washington they did a 9 month internship with Mission Aviation Fellowship in Idaho.

Through the internship Willie realized being a full time airplane mechanic was not how he was wired and they began looking for a more face to face ministry that still incorporated aviation.

They ended up moving to a fly in only village in Alaska to work with Tanalian Bible camp.

They are now awaiting the arrival of their 3rd Child
due Easter 2016.
